Whether I’m delving into the history of the German-Russian diaspora, crafting children’s stories that celebrate imagination and courage, or inspiring fellow writers to embrace their creative journeys, my work is about honouring the past, celebrating the present, and encouraging the creation of something beautiful for the future.

I’ve always been drawn to stories—those we inherit, those we create, and those we discover in unexpected places.
My journey began with a deeply personal book, People: A Perfect 10, written to honour my mother’s legacy and influence on me and my siblings. That experience showed me the power of storytelling to preserve history and bring people together.
In 2022, I published Plainfolk: Stories from the Farm, an exploration of the German-Russian farmers and Planer Colonists who shaped two countries and seven generations of my family. It’s a tribute to the courage and resilience of those who came before us.
I also write to inspire. My bestselling children’s book, Silisia Dances, encourages young readers to dream big, while my upcoming book for writers, Keep Creating, offers inspiration and practical tools to help fellow authors stay motivated on their creative journeys.
At the heart of everything I write is a commitment to connection—connecting people to their heritage, their dreams, and to each other.
